Mental Health Awareness Month Light Up York Green Monday, May 16 to Sunday, May 22, 2022 Thank you for agreeing to be a part of the Mental Health Awareness Month campaign. If you are using “flat lights” to light up your building, here are some tips on how to position the lights to get the maximum impact. 1) Set timer to start at your designated time (off and on). We are including instructions for the unit. The light event will be set for dusk for the entire week starting Monday, May 16th to Sunday, May 22nd. 2) Make sure all the blinds are up the whole way in the room. 3) Place the light on the floor or a table in the middle of the room or about 4-5 feet from the window, without any surrounding obstructions (chairs, other tables etc.) to allow the light to bounce from the unit directly to the ceiling will give it the maximum amount of light reflection. 4) Try to minimize any background lighting by turning off any excess lighting in the room to give the “green light” the maximum output. 5) We recommend that you test the light(s) prior to the kickoff to make sure they are positioned correctly to get the maximum amount of light. If you are using the Green Gel Roll, avoid putting the gel directly on the light bulb. Tape will be supplied that is heat resistant. Again, we thank you for your support!
